What is RPB?
Rancho Penasquitos
Basketball (RPB) is a recreational youth basketball organization
in the Rancho Penasquitos neighborhood of San Diego, California.
Teams are organized into divisions by grade level, including Grades
3-12. Our objective is to provide and promote a wholesome recreational
basketball program for the youth of our community. Within this objective,
RPB was formed to encourage and foster positive sportsmanship, cultivate
good playing skills, and promote friendly relationships among the
participants, coaches, and parents.

General Information
RPB is a RECREATIONAL league. Those on
Club (e.g. Sundevil, Wolverine, Bronco) or HighSchool basketball teams
which will have practices and/or games at any time during the RPB game
season (January through March) are not eligible to play in the RPB program.
Practices may begin each year as early
as November 15th. Games begin in early January with all games
on Saturdays or Sundays.
The
season ends with a three weekend, single elimination tournament,
culminating on Championship Day on at the end of March when
the 10 upper divisions determine their champions. Trophies
are awarded to members of the 10 championship teams and runners
up, as well as to all participants in the Boys 3 and Girls
3-4 divisions.
Championship Day is a celebration of our season
and our community, with player introductions and expert play-by
play announcing, as well as theme music and an elaborate presentation
of trophies. Come join us for Championship Day whether your
team is playing or not.
